Don’t Commit Fallacies
Hey, everybody. It’s National Roast Suckling Pig Day. I’ll refrain from the too-easy comparisons to the fictional but shocking “National Torture Day,”
“Slavery Celebration Day,” and, dare I say it, “National Holocaust Day,” because who wants to invite awkward “I can’t believe you’re comparing X to Y” commentary, which quickly becomes “Jonathan thinks eating a roast suckling pig is worse than being a terrorist/Hitler/etc.” So let’s just skip all that.
Today’s comic references Pablo’s December 12 argument in favor of mind-body dualism. Didja notice the flaw at the time?
If you wanna learn more about what Pablo and Michelle are talking about here, read up on de re reference (here’s SEP and Wikipedia). Intensionality literature is good too, although it tends not to be that clearly explained in print online.
See you tomorrow!
Ooh, one more thing. I’m going to start including transcripts of comics. That’ll make it easier to search for comics, and it’ll also potentially get Google to display humorous ads that are tangentially related to the contents of my comics. I’m starting at the beginning of the archives. If you want to help me out by transcribing, just leave a transcription in a comment for a strip.

I so totally rock Pablo’s ass.
